Virginia Commonwealth University, located in Richmond, VA recently installed a CGT PMNG membrane nitrogen generator in their chemistry department. The point-of-use nitrogen generator is supplying nitrogen to the labs LC/MS instrument. VCU was able to utilize house compressed air to feed the nitrogen generator allowing for a simple installation. The unit has no moving parts and requires semi-annual filter changes. Nitrogen cylinder use has now been eliminated, saving time and money for the lab.
