Vancouver Coffee Company Stays Green with On-Site Nitrogen Production
A Vancouver based coffee company has launched the industry’s first truly biodegradable K-Cup. The cups are made with compostable sugar cane and bamboo fibers. This innovative company wanted to make sure their facility was as “green” as possible, so they took the initiative to generate their own nitrogen on-site. Instead of trucking in bulk liquid nitrogen for the packaging process, they now take compressed air and separate the nitrogen from the other gases. This would ultimately eliminate the need to have the nitrogen trucked in regularly, helping to cut CO2 emissions. The CGT PSA nitrogen generator supplies a reliable source of uninterrupted, high purity, food grade nitrogen around the clock.
